This is something I’ve come to accept the more I take music seriously. Going to concerts and festivals in the past few months has shown me that human connectivity and bonding is needed now more than ever — especially now with the rise of AI. It is my belief, that in an equivalent exchange, social acceleration will rise in demand, because people will crave to feel human again.
Thanks! I don't necessarily agree that social acceleration will rise automatically as an opposing force. I believe social acceleration should be governed and funded at the highest levels. If we really want communities, shared identity, local belonging, etc, we should invest in it, because it only gets more expensive, according to this economic theory of cost disease :) Thanks for reading The Fanbase Builder!
